1. Think Before Posting.
If an intended post will not make a positive contribution to the topic and be of interest to several readers, it should not be posted.

Before asking a question, read the messages already in the group and read the group's FAQ if it has one.

2. Quoting should be interspersed.
When responding, it is important that the author make the context clear in their response.

Posts should be trimmed of extraneous quoted material, particularly at the end of a post. For example, it is particularly undesirable to have a three line response followed by 800 lines of quoted text. The post should instead be trimmed by deleting the unused quoted text. It is not usually necessary to quote the entire message to which one is responding.

3. Re-Read and Edit Carefully
Re-read and edit their posting carefully before posting. The spelling, grammar, and capitalization should be checked. One should not be afraid about re-writing entire paragraphs.

4. Always be courteous to other forum members.

5. Before creating a new topic thread, search to see if a similar topic already exists.

6. Follow standard grammar and spelling rules and as much as possible, avoid slang.

7. If the forum is categorized, strive to post in the correct section.

8. Include as much technical information as possible, especially in the subject line.

9. Stay on-topic.

10. Avoid double posting and Crossposting.

11. Respond to topics started by others more often than starting topics of one's own.

12. Avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. All CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues. To convey emphasis in a less drastic manner, one may use these effects: *bold*, /italics/, and _underline_. When posting humorous or sarcastic comments, it is conventional to append an emoticon, but it is suggested that emoticons should not be overused.

13. Don’t resurrect a very old topic if nothing significant will be added.

14. Try to refrain from lashing back at a poorly behaving member or participating in a flame war; instead, notify the messageboard's staff of the event. Cursing, saying bad words and the like are likewise prohibited. If there are any concerns regarding fighting, bashing and flaming, report it to the Pokemon Moderators or Administrator.

15. When quoting a previous post, only include the relevant portion of that post. Contributors are requested to keep in mind that their audience can likely still see the message they are quoting on the same screen and can read it again if need be.

16. SPAMming is strictly prohibited EXCEPT on Raichu’s Arcade.

17. No to malicious materials. Remember this is a kid-friendly community.

18 .When posting things that are not yours, put the source or else that would be considered as plagarism.

19. Avatars should have a maximum size of 100 x 100.

20. Signature spaces should have a maximum space of 500 (width) by 400 (height). That means that banners, trainer cards, sprites, text, userbars, etc. in the signature space below each post should all-in-all not exceed this limit.

22. Beware of impostors.
